The client
The client on this photoshoot is Christine Stamouli, a well known architect based in the Peloponnese.
Christine was tasked by the owner of the building to furnish and complete the external facade of the property.
Her approach was to "break" the intense verticality of the building and balance it with some clean horizontal lines. This addition balanced out the exterior as well as created a more livable and welcoming environment.
The approach
When it comes to horizontal and vertical lines and the shades that form around a building, especially under the greek sun, I needed to make sure that i had an overview of how the property looked at all times of day.
This allowed for many fantastic photo opportunities in different light, that enhanced and gave prominence to the character of the space.
When it comes to colour, it was also very important for Christine that the various shades of green she had picked for the project's nature blended well with the shade of the stone elements of the property.
Their Vision
Christine wanted to turn a simple house into an inviting and thought provoking property that was considered and elegant.
The careful selection of colours, materials and fitting, helped transform this house into a welcoming vacation residence.
