The client
Fuglen is all about quality products and good moments.
They have been serving specialty coffee in Oslo, Norway since 1963 and opened they first coffee and cocktail bar in Tokyo in 2012.
Six years later, they founded their own coffee roastery based on Direct Trade principles, with locations in Oslo and Tokyo and worldwide distribution.
The Photographer's Approach
Fuglen got in contact with me as they needed photographs of their Gamlebyen location for their social media campaigns.
This involved taking photographs of the wonderfully decorated interior of the Café, menu items and the team members, as well as coffee tasting events that they regularly hold.
Fuglen café looks and feels like cozy living rooms where their clientele can relax and connect with friends, family or even work and study.
And the goal of the photoshoot was exactly that, to show all that Fuglen has to offer when a customer simply comes in for a coffee.
The Client's Vision
The team's vision is to bring out the "home vibe" in their cafés, while offering excellent quality services and coffee at the same time.
Fuglen's dedication to quality and detail stand out from the rest, as they source their coffees from all over the world and roast it in-house at the cafés.
They also often host coffee tasting events, taking their clients on a journey of taste and at the same time teaching them how to better brew their coffee at home.
