The client

Colonides hotel is a family run business and one of the leading 4-star hotels in south-west Peloponnese. It is a sanctuary, an exclusive accommodation that offers a tranquil escape from our fast paced lives.
The owners reached out to me with the wish to have their new luxury suites and deluxe rooms photographed. The photoshoot also included photographing PITHOS restaurant and its pool area.
Colonides Beach Hotel, understanding in depth the need of their guests for good quality rest and conscious recharge during their vacation, is also on the path to reintroduce Colonides Hotel as a destination with a focus on wellness and yoga retreats.

The Photographer's Approach

Walking into Colonides Hotel, you are instantly transported into a world of relaxation and tranquility.
The goal for the photographer here, is to capture this feeling and give future guests, a taste of what it feels like to experience the space first hand.
All spaces were made available to me for a couple of days before the hotel's opening date, which allowed me to freely plan and execute the photoshoot.
Focusing mainly on the way the light changed the mood of each space from the golden sunrise to a pastel sunset, I was able to capture the many different "feelings" of each space, while the unhindered seaview of the rooms changed constantly like a live canvas painting.

The Client's Vision

It is important to remember that Colonides Hotel is a family run business. Every little detail that gives the hotel its identity, has been a vision of theirs before it got manifested into existence.
And because of that, it is very important that the photography represents their vision of the future, while also giving enough space for the present moment's aesthetics to be sufficiently portrayed.

Colonides Hotel, caring deeply about offering excellent quality rest and recharge to its customers, is gazing into the future of hospitality in Greece, aiming to focus more on hosting wellness retreats and introduce the beautiful Peloponnesian nature of the greek south to a wider international audience each year.
