Colonides hotel is a family run business and one of the leading 4-star hotels in the south-west Peloponnese.
Colonides is an exclusive accommodation and a tranquil escape from our fast paced lives.
The owners reached out with the wish to have their luxury and junior suites as well as restaurant area and pool photographed.Furthermore, looking into the future they also wished to reintroduce Colonides Hotel with a larger focus on hosting wellness retreats.
The approach
All photographed spaces were made available to me for a couple of days, which allowed me to take the space and plan the shoot in in accordance with the natural light as it progressed during the day.
Being on site for multiple days throughout the summer allowed me to shoot the location in various lighting profiles ranging from sunrise to sunset, essential for capturing the different moods of each space along with the change of light.
Their Vision
Working over multiple days during the summer, allowed me to share more time with the owners of the hotel.
And as the summer progressed, i had the chance to get to know the founder's favourite lighting conditions and views around the hotel as well as the family's vision for the future of Colonides hotel.
This allowed my photography to slowly merge with the family's values and long term vision for their business.
